Salut! Ici on parle en français!!

We have had a wonderful time back in school! As we dip our feet into french before fully submerging into french language and culture, we have had a wonderful time learning french songs! It is such a joy seeing students excited to sing the french songs we have learnt even outside of our classroom.

Matter Matter Everywhere – “For in Him we live and move and have our being.” Acts 17:28

Grade 1/2 students have been exploring “States of Matter”. We used our bodies as molecules to demonstrate how molecules make up a solid, liquid or gas.  Our bodies moved close together as we became a molecule packed solid. We moved farther apart as we became liquid to experience how  molecules flow and move more freely. When we became gas, students filled the…

Our New Flexible Seating Classroom

There’s only 1 student desk in the classroom, and it can be used by anyone! When you first visit the 3/4 room this year, you’ll notice that the physical layout looks a lot different than a traditional classroom. That’s because we’re implementing a research-based classroom design called flexible seating. Instead of desks, we have beanbag chairs, a papasan chair, an…

The words “You Belong” greet students upon entry into the classroom. We are  learning that everyone belongs in the Kingdom of God. We are created in God’s image to mirror His love. Just like the earthly families to which we belong, we also have another family to which we belong – The body of Christ. Students share their thoughts about belonging:…
