Before and After School Program

Spaces are available in our Before and After School Program! 

Before School

The Before School Program run from 8:00 until 8:50 a.m. Students will engage in active play outdoors on the yard or, in the event of inclement weather, in the gymnasium. 

Regular school yard supervision will start at 8:30 a.m.

After School

The After School Program run from 3:20 p.m. until  5:00 p.m. Students will engage in physical play for the first 30 minutes, either outdoors or in the gym depending on the weather and availability. At 4 p.m., we move inside for a healthy snack, quiet play, homework, or reading. 

2024-25 Fees

Before School for one student is $8.00/day, and for two or more students our fee is $12.00/day.

Before/After School for one student is $20.00/day and for two or more students our fee is $30.00/day. 

Please note: The late fee is $1 for every minute late after 5:00 p.m. We will continue to be understanding in extreme weather conditions or emergency circumstances, but please try to pick up your child(ren) on time.

I would like to welcome your family to Kingston Christian School’s Before and After School Program. My name is Dawn Hood, and I will be coordinating the program this year. I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator, with many years ministering to children and their families.  It is my goal to run a program that is safe and enjoyable for your child. I will run a program that involves structure and yet allows for flexibility and free choice. Craft, gym, stories, games, snack, learning times -including Christian Education-are all on the agenda. The majority of the program will be run out of the Art Classroom, and the gym, so this is the area you can head to when you arrive to pick up your child.

Additional details

Fees are determined yearly and are determined by staffing needs. Families are invoiced every two months. 

For families not intending to participate in after school care, parents are encouraged to pick up their child(ren) by 3:35 p.m.  

In the event parents are late picking up their child(ren), the child(ren) will be placed in the After School program.
