Safety First

This past month we did a unit on Be Healthy, Be Safe.  In the absence of a field trip, we asked the field trip to come to us.  What a great opportunity to have Fire Fighter Del come to visit us and teach us how to prevent fire.  I loved hearing the kids say “I already know that!”  I guess they *were* listening.

We also had Police Officer Bryan come to our class.  He did a great job of reminding the students that he is here to help.  It may have given a few parents slight palpitations to see a police car with flashing lights outside our class…but it was well-received in class!
