Science at KCS

Our first science unit of the year was “Pure Substances and Mixtures”, which introduced the students to the world of chemistry, the study of matter and its changes.

Collaboration was an integral part of our science classes. In small groups, the students tested the particle theory by exploring what happens to the mass of a sample of matter when it changes state. In another experiment, they tested the relationship between solubility and temperature.

Through scientific study, the 7/8s were able to explore the interrelationships between science, technology, society, and the environment, and grow in their understanding of the importance of science and technology in God’s world!
