Outside Learning

This past week our class had the joy of taking a field trip to a local conservation area to  practice our mapping skills.  We have learned about and practiced directions, landmarks, symbols, and orientation.  This was a chance to put our learning into practice in a real life situation.

As with most field trips, however, our morning was more than “extra practice.”  It was a chance to witness beautiful friendships and kindness toward others.  It was a chance to remember how much there is to learn and see beyond the four walls of our class (as great as our four walls are!). It was opportunity to be excited just “to be” together and to wonder together.  It was a morning to be surrounded by the beauty of God’s creation.

The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it!
